Regex101 Enterprise Privacy Policy (Self-Hosted)

1. Scope​

This Privacy Policy applies to the self-hosted enterprise edition of Regex101 operated entirely within the customer's own infrastructure.

This policy does not apply to the public website or SaaS offering available at regex101.com.

2. Data Collection and Processing​

The enterprise self-hosted edition:

  • Does not collect analytics or usage metrics
  • Does not collect telemetry
  • Does not track users, regex patterns, input data, or configuration
  • Does not process customer data outside the customer environment

All data remains under the customer's exclusive control.

3. Network Communication​

The software performs limited outbound network communication solely for license validation.

  • Destination: keygen.sh
  • Purpose: Validate license status
  • Frequency: Approximately once per week
  • Data transmitted: License metadata only

No regex patterns, input text, user data, or operational data are transmitted.

4. Offline Operation​

The software can operate without internet access between license validation checks.
No other functionality depends on network connectivity.

5. Updates​

  • Updates are pull-based only
  • No automatic update checks are performed
  • Customers fully control update timing and deployment

6. Support Data​

No data is transmitted to the Vendor unless the customer explicitly provides it, such as when sharing logs or configuration files for support purposes.

7. Third-Party Components​

The software includes third-party open-source components.

  • These components are bundled with the software
  • They do not initiate outbound network communication at runtime
  • They do not transmit data externally

8. Data Storage Outside Customer Environment​

The Vendor does not store, access, or process any customer data outside the customer's own infrastructure.

9. Changes to This Policy​

The Vendor may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Material changes will be communicated alongside software or licensing updates.
