Install regex101 Enterprise

Your setup email contains the deployment files, registry credentials, and license key.

Configure the deployment

1. Extract the supplied files into your deployment directory.
2. Open .env.template and replace the registry credentials, LICENSE_KEY, and all secret placeholders.
3. Set DOMAIN_NAME to the hostname that users will open.
4. Save the file as .env.
5. Configure your HTTPS proxy to forward requests to regex101 on HTTP port 80.

See Configuration for secret generation and storage settings. For accounts, configure sign-in with your public HTTPS origin.

For an air-gapped installation, use the offline setup procedure instead of the startup command below.

Start regex101

From the deployment directory, run:

./start.sh

The script downloads the configured images and starts the deployment.

Verify the installation

Inspect the service state:

docker compose ps

1. Verify that the services run and available health checks pass.
2. Open your HTTPS URL.
3. Enter ORD-[0-9]{4} with input ORD-0042 and verify one match.
4. If sign-in is enabled, sign in and save the example.
5. If you saved the example, reopen it from your workspace history.
