Deployment prerequisites

Use a Linux host with Docker Engine, the Docker Compose plugin, Bash, and OpenSSL. Choose a host supported by the supplied container images. Allow storage for saved workspaces and backups.

Hostname and HTTPS

Choose a hostname and configure its DNS record. Configure HTTPS at your reverse proxy or load balancer. Forward requests to regex101 on HTTP port 80. If another service uses host port 80, change the published HTTP port in the supplied Compose file.

Deployment files and access

Your setup email supplies the deployment files, registry credentials, and license key. If you enable sign-in, obtain credentials from your identity provider.

Installation and updates need access to the image registries. Online license validation needs network access. Version checks also use an external connection. For an isolated network, prepare an air-gapped installation.
