Navigate and arrange the workspace
Open a tool
Use the left navigation rail to open Regex Editor, Text Pipeline, Library, or My workspaces. Hover over an icon to read its label. Help and the account menu are at the bottom of the rail. On narrow screens, open the navigation panel to reach these controls.
In Regex Editor, select Match, Substitution, Extraction, or Unit Tests from the navigation panel. Text Pipeline has its own workspace. Save your current work before opening another workspace.
Choose details sections
Use the right rail to show or hide sections such as Explanation, Match Information, and Quick Reference. Available sections depend on the current tool. Text Pipeline shows Execution trace. Each selected icon keeps its section open. Drag the icons to change their order.
For keyboard reordering, focus an icon and press Space. Use Up or Down, then press Space to finish. Press Escape to cancel. Press Enter to show or hide the section without reordering it.
On narrow screens, Open details panel opens a drawer. Its selector shows one section at a time. The browser remembers your section choices and order.
Resize panels
Drag a divider beside the navigation or details panel to change its width. Drag a divider between editor areas or details sections to change their heights. The browser remembers these sizes. When the window becomes too narrow, side panels move into drawers.
Double-click a sidebar divider to reset its width. Double-click an editor divider to reset the neighboring areas. The divider below the regex makes that area compact. Double-click a divider between details sections to restore equal section heights.
For keyboard resizing, focus a divider with Tab. Use the arrow keys, Home, or End to resize it. Press Enter to reset it.
Work with tabs
Use Add test string or Add layer (+) beside the tabs to add content. Tabs shrink as their number grows. Narrow tabs show icons; hover over one to read its name. If tabs overflow, scroll along the row. The add button stays visible.
Right-click a tab, or open Tab actions (⋮), to find its available actions. Double-click an editable tab name to rename it. The pipeline's pinned Input tab stays fixed.
Adjust appearance
Open the account menu and select Settings. Under General > Appearance, choose Site theme and Text scale. Under Editor > Appearance, choose separate regex and match color schemes.
